There’s a reason why it’s one of the most visited places in the world. It’s culture, food, music, and just overall ambiance is extraordinary!
The truth is, you don’t have to go to Italy to live that Italian liefstyle. You can make some small modifications to your current lifestyle and home and feel like you are living that Italian dream.
Become a wine connoisseur
Well, a fake one, really. Unless you want to go through extensive training, this should really be called, “Pretend you know a little bit more about wine.” There are a number of ways you can do this. First, drink more wine. Yay! But seriously, the more you drink, the more you will know about pairings, seasons, etc. You can do this by joining one of those fun wine clubs where they deliver wine to your house monthly, or just keep a running of your favorite wines and why.
Learn to cook
Italians LOVE their food. And everything is made from scratch. So, give yourself a nice little weekend challenge. Pick one traditional Italian dish, like pasta, and make it all from scratch. Everything from the noodles to the sauce needs to be 100% handmade. Play around with the recipe for a bit until it becomes exactly what you want and go from there. Once you have this mastered, introduce it to your lifestyle maybe once a week or twice a month. It will become second nature and people will love it!
Get comfortable around large groups of people
This piggybacks off the previous statement. Not to stereotype, but Italians LOVE their families. If you want to live that Italian lifestyle, then you need to get a large enough dining room table to accommodate Sunday dinners, be ready to offer cigars and dessert after dinner, and plan on the even lasting for hours on end. Italians are never in a rush, especially when it comes to large, family dinners.
